The S&WBNO is seeking motivated engineers and engineer interns to join its team on a long-term contract basis. These positions support critical infrastructure improvement projects across the city, with opportunities to convert to permanent employment based on performance.

Roles Available

Engineer Intern I (Entry Level)

• Assist in the research, design, and construction of water, sewer, and drainage projects.
• Support senior engineers with drafting, calculations, and field inspections.
• Participate in project documentation, design reviews, and data collection.

Ideal for:
Recent engineering graduates or early-career engineers looking to build field and design experience.

Engineer Intern II (Intermediate Level)

• Perform independent technical work under the direction of licensed engineers.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for ongoing infrastructure projects.
• Conduct field inspections and coordinate with contractors and consultants.
• Mentor or assign tasks to junior team members as experience grows.

Ideal for:
Candidates with 1-3 years of civil or environmental engineering experience who are ready to take on greater project responsibility.

Engineer (Professional Level)

• Lead and coordinate engineering design, analysis, and project oversight for major infrastructure initiatives.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with codes and standards.
• Provide direction to technical staff and collaborate with external agencies and contractors.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
• EIT certification.
