Modjeski and Masters is seeking Civil Engineers interested in internship opportunities focused on Bridge Design in our New Orleans, LA office location.

• Student who are working towards BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University

As a Civil Engineering Intern, you will support the design and analysis of bridge structures and transportation infrastructure under the supervision of experienced engineers. Your responsibilities may include:

• Assisting in the review and verification of standard structural design calculations.
• Supporting the structural analysis and design of bridge components using engineering software tools.
• Helping develop preliminary design details using CAD software and providing input to CAD technicians for contract plan development.
• Contributing to design reports by compiling relevant technical information.
• Communicating effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, in a professional engineering environment.
• Reviewing and checking engineering drawings under the close supervision of a Senior Engineer.
• Gain exposure of structural analysis and design software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, and Micro Station.
• Learning and applying relevant design specifications and standards, including AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, and ACI.
