Construction Engineer

HARDESTY&HANOVER seeks a Construction Engineer to support complex infrastructure projects within our Engineering & Architecture department. You will plan, design, and oversee construction of structures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with codes and client requirements. Located in Cambridge's innovation hub, you'll apply modern engineering tools and methodologies, coordinate contractors and consultants, and resolve field issues. You'll contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation while working on impactful, cutting-edge projects that advance the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and oversee execution of construction engineering projects
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve design and field issues
• Perform site visits, inspections, and quality control checks for compliance with plans and codes
• Support cost estimating, scheduling, and constructability reviews
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Use engineering software (e.g., Auto
• CAD, Civil 3
• D, structural analysis tools) to develop and refine designs
• Assist with RFIs, submittal reviews, and change order evaluations
• Collaborate with project managers on budget, scope, and schedule management
• Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and innovation initiatives
