Key responsibilities of the RN – PACU – Post Anesthetic Care

Monitor patient recovery from anesthesia

Assess vital signs and manage pain levels

Administer medications as prescribed

Provide patient and family education about post-operative care

Collaborate with surgical and healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Requirements of the RN – PACU – Post Anesthetic Care

Active RN license in the state of Louisiana

CPR and ACLS certifications

Experience in PACU or similar recovery settings
