Technical Inspector (BT-26102) with Security Clearance

The Technical Inspector will support the various projects located in New Orleans, LAThis position is focused primarily on Technical Inspection. RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Implement predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds.
* Use various measuring devices.
* Accept, reject, or rework defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
* Work from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.
* May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
* Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED:

* This position requires a Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one; must be a US citizen.
* Must have a bachelor's degree.
* Must have 3+ years of recent and related work experience.
* In lieu of degree:
Candidates with 7+ years of recent and related experience will be considered.
* Inspection experience with methods such as scale/micrometer and torque tools.
* Experience with SAP/VECAMS. DESIRED:
* Technical bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

WORK LOCATION:

* This position is located onsite; some travel may be required.

REQUIRED:

* Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
* Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
