ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Restaurant Host/Hostess position is responsible for greeting and seating guest in assigned dining area.

* Maintains an upbeat and positive attitude, creates positive energy with gestures and sustains enthusiasm from one interaction to the next.

* Responsible for greeting and seating guest in assigned dining area.

* Provides assistance to both guests and team members when necessary.

* Greets guests upon their arrival and escorts guest party to appropriate table in dining area.

* Maintains order and cleanliness in dining room.

* Reports all complaints to management on duty.

* Ensures that schedules food servers and bus persons are present, chairs and tables are properly positioned and station groupings are assigned to each station.

* Distributes checks and handles comps, food coupons, and Player cards.

* Ensures proper check and cash control procedures are carried out.

* Consistently demonstrates superior customer service skills by displaying outlined service behaviors.

* Creates an atmosphere of luck and celebrates guest's wins.

* Is ready to serve and is informed of daily information; builds relationships by greeting guests with a warm, friendly verbal greeting.

* Anticipates needs and provides fast, flawless service.

* Checks for satisfaction and effectively resolves service breakdowns when they exist.

* Promotes Caesars Rewards programs and card membership.

* Provides a warm farewell and thanks guests for visiting.

* Completes special assignments for management as requested.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Success at Nobu Restaurant is defined by traits like a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a demonstrated history of anticipatory service. Previous experience of at least one year in a high-volume, fine dining establishment is preferred.

* High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

* Minimum one year Hostess experience at a fine dining restaurant preferred.

* Ability to read and write English sufficiently to perform job.

* Consistently displays extraordinary service with an upbeat and positive attitude.

* Some knowledge of food service.

A FEW MORE THINGS:

* Loud, fast paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint.

* Ability to stand for 8 hours.

* Normal vision and hearing range

* Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.

* Ability to distinguish letters, symbols, and colors.

* Must be able to handle a heavy business volume in a timely manner.

* Must be neat and clean in appearance and physically fit to perform the duties required

* Ability to move throughout the outlet (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time.

* Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.

* Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.

* Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.

* Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.

* Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment.
