Prep Cook

Preparation is the foundation of cooking, and a Prep Cook lays the groundwork for all of the beautiful dishes created in the kitchen. Making everything from sauces to sides, this individual is efficient but does not cut corners, knowing that a consistent product is essential to the integrity and flavor of the final product. This person enjoys being a vital part of a team dynamic and is adept at following directions and communicating with the chef team.

Requested Tasks:

• Setting up, cleaning, and organizing a workstation
• Preparing a variety of ingredients and recipes with efficiency and timeliness
• Maintaining good kitchen safety and sanitation

Requested Capabilities

• At least 1+ years of related professional cooking experience
• Experience with commercial restaurant cooking equipment
• Pastry experience required
• Ability to follow sanitation and cleanliness procedures
• Culinary degree or related restaurant experience is preferred
• Great communication skills with both front and back of the house
• Handle a fast-paced cooking environment with ease
