Senior Software Engineer Specializing In Biometrics

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer specializing in biometrics, with a focus on facial geometry and facial recognition technologies. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of cutting-edge identity verification, document authentication, and fraud prevention systems that rely on accurate facial analysis and biometric matching. This role requires deep expertise in computer vision, 3D facial modeling, and machine learning, with the ability to design and implement scalable, high-performance biometric solutions for enterprise and consumer applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and optimize our facial recognition algorithms which are based on facial geometry, 3D modeling/reconstruction, and landmark detection, etc.
• Develop software for biometric authentication, liveness detection, and identity verification.
• Collaborate with data science and AI teams to integrate machine learning models for facial matching, spoof detection, and anomaly detection.
• Optimize facial recognition pipelines for accuracy, speed, and scalability across large datasets.
• Benchmark biometric algorithms against industry standards to ensure high accuracy and low false acceptance/rejection rates, ADA compliance, and non-bias.
• Evaluate cameras and biometric capture hardware to assist with integration of our solution into diverse environments such as webcam-powered applications, kiosks, and mobile applications.
• Work with cross-functional teams to embed biometric capabilities into SaaS, mobile, and cloud-based systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and compliance teams to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Vision, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in computer vision, facial recognition, or biometric software engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C#, or Java, and experience with frameworks such as Tensor Flow, PyTorch, OpenCV, or Dlib.
• Deep knowledge of facial geometry, 3D modeling, landmark detection, and alignment algorithms.
• Experience designing and optimizing biometric authentication and liveness detection pipelines.
• Experience with cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, Azure) and scalable software architectures preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and guide technical teams.
• Can-do attitude and approach to technical challenges.
