The New Philadelphia City School District Board of Education is seeking a Superintendent with administrative experience, proven leadership capabilities, and a commitment to the district and the community

Qualifications:

The Board seeks candidates who possess or can demonstrate the following:

* Committed to promoting and improving high academic student performance and
achievement

* Proactive approach to problem solving

* Understanding of public school finance and demonstrate knowledge of fiscal
responsibility with the ability to work with the District Treasurer

* Actively engaged, accessible, and present in District related activities and events and maintain strong community and stakeholder relationships

* Personal integrity, loyalty, leadership, good communication skill and the ability to work well with staff, Treasurer, Board of Education, students, parents and community

The New Philadelphia City School District, located in eastern Ohio, serves approximately 2,774 students in seven educational buildings. The district employs 216 certified staff, 145 classified staff, and 21 administrators who work collaboratively to provide an excellent educational experience in a safe and supportive environment.

The Board of Education anticipates offering a multi-year contract with a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience.
