The selected candidate will be placed in the classification in which they meet minimum qualifications.
What You Will Do- You will work alongside ODOT professional surveyors & engineers.
- You will receive training in operation & maintenance of survey instruments.
- You will receive hands‑on transportation training & experience needed to further your career as a surveyor with ODOT.
- You will conduct survey projects under the direction of a licensed surveyor & assist project surveyor or engineer on projects.

- -OR Bachelor’s degree; valid driver’s license; working towards obtaining the required semester hours of surveying courses that meets the NCEES Surveying Education Standard as approved by the Ohio Board of Professional Engineers & Surveyors.
- Valid certificate of Surveyor Intern issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 months experience as Surveyor 1, 85561; valid driver’s license.
- -OR Valid certificate as Surveyor Intern issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors & 12 months experience surveying-related experience; valid driver’s license.

- This position is overtime eligible based on FLSA Standards.
- All bargaining unit new hires must serve a one (1) year probationary period.
- Position will be filled pursuant to the provision of the OCSEA/AFSCME Contract.
