Salary Range: $18.00 – $22.50

Come join our growing team! The Care Team Hospice is looking for a Full‑Time STNA in Dover, Ohio and surrounding areas.

Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM to 4:30PM.

- Provide personal care assistance to patients under the direction and ongoing supervision of a registered nurse.
- Bath, care of mouth, skin, and hair.
- Assist in bathroom use or with bedpan or commode.
- Bed transfers and ambulation activities as ordered under the care plan.
- Perform range‑of‑motion exercises taught by appropriate professional personnel.
- Perform incidental household services essential to the patient’s well‑being at home.
- Prepare meals, including special diets.
- Take a patient’s temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure if assigned by a registered nurse.
- Assist with shopping if the patient has no other resources available.
- Provide emotional support and compassionate care to the patient and family unit.
- Demonstrate listening skills.
- Offer encouragement when appropriate.
- Practice patience in voice and manner.
- Maintain required competency and skills.
- Document initial and ongoing every 14‑day supervision and evaluation by RN on each case assignment.
- Maintain a clinical record containing notes for each service provided; complete a clinical note for each visit made to a patient’s home within 48hours of the visit.
- Participate in an annual performance review.
- Report any changes in the patient’s condition or family situation immediately by calling the Hospice office and notifying the RN.
- Practice Standard Precautions according to OSHA regulations and policy.
- Adhere to all policies and procedural guidelines.
- Attend at least twelve (12) hours of in‑service education programs per year.
- Maintain current certification as required by the state.
- Maintain current knowledge and practice of infectious disease protocols.
- Maintain the agency’s mission, philosophy, and core values; ensure compliance with agency policies regarding operations, patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety, and emergency management; and always maintain patient confidentiality.
