- Location:
DNR Tuscarawas, 1888 East High Avenue New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663 - Compensation: $31.47 per hour, potential to rise to $46.08 per hour over 7.5 years with further COLA adjustments.

- Plan and conduct complex geologic investigations to evaluate citizen complaints and regulated industry referrals related to groundwater impacts (e.g., contamination, diminution) or environmental impacts from oil field operations.
- Conduct investigations and coordinate and complete sampling activities.
- Prepare reports summarizing groundwater investigation or environmental assessment findings and conclusions for review by program manager.
- Prepare summaries of findings, recommend corrective action, and administrative enforcement actions involving contaminated or diminished groundwater supplies.
- Review and recommend appropriate actions for remedial action plans submitted to a section.
- Testify as expert witness in civil, criminal, and administrative hearings to support enforcement actions involving contamination or diminution of public or private water supplies or from environmental impacts as a result of oil & gas exploration, production, brine disposal or solution mining operations.
Salary: Starting hourly pay of $31.47/hr with potential for increases over 7.5 years to $46.08/hr, plus COLA and longevity pay supplements after five years per OCSEA schedule.
Qualifications- Completion of an undergraduate core program in geology, hydrogeology, or other specialized geologic science AND 24 months of experience in geologic field, laboratory and/or drafting methods and techniques.
- OR completion of a graduate core program in geology, hydrogeology, or other specialized geologic science AND 12 months of experience in geologic field, laboratory and/or drafting methods and techniques.
- OR equivalent of the minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
