Dayspring Academy Teaching Position

This is a part time position; employment is on a term-by-term basis.

This is an in-person position.

Responsibilities:

Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Teach undergraduate students in a specific field of expertise
  • Develop and manage the class syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets program standards
  • Plan and create lectures, in-class discussions, and assignments
  • Grade assigned papers, quizzes, and exams
  • Maintain and submit accurate grade rosters and class attendance records as required within established course deadlines.
  • Assess grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations
  • Report student learning outcomes, class reviews, and analyze student data
  • Collaborate with colleagues on course curriculum
  • Advise students on how to be successful and achieve goals
  • Stay updated on innovations and changes within the course field
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Attend and participate in faculty meetings, as assigned
  • Adhere to Early College standards and policies

Reports to:

Dean of Early College Development and Operations

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • All employees must be fingerprinted and pass a background screening process by the Clearinghouse.
  • Instructors must have:
    • a Master's or Ph.D. in the relevant academic field
    • a passion for innovative education and a commitment to a diverse group of learners
    • advanced organizational skills
    • the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of students
    • have the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders
