Pro Sidian seeks a Geotechnical Engineer | Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering for program support on a contract located CONUS
- Pasco County across the South East Region supporting Pasco County in enhancing performance, resilience, and sustainability of its water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems through comprehensive engineering, planning, environmental, and digital transformation services.
Seeking Geotechnical Engineer candidates with relevant energy, sustainability & infrastructure sector experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for energy, sustainability & infrastructure sector clients such as PCBOCC. This as a technical element or contract W-2 (IRS-1099) soil mechanics & foundation engineering functional area professional - geotechnical position; however, Pro Sidian reserves the right to convert to a full-time Pro Sidian employed W-2 position.
Job Overview
Provide services and support as a geotechnical (geotechnical engineer) in the energy, sustainability & infrastructure industry sector focusing on environmental services solutions for clients such as Pasco County Board of County Commissioners (PCBOCC) | Pasco County generally located in CONUS
- Pasco County and across the South East Region (of country/world).
Responsibilities and Duties - Geotechnical Engineer | Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering
- Plan and execute geotechnical investigations for utility infrastructure projects.
- Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to inform foundation and structural designs.
- Prepare technical geotechnical reports and provide recommendations for construction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; PE preferred.
Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications
- 5–10 years in geotechnical investigations for utilities or public infrastructure.
Skills Required
- Boring logs, slope stability, foundation design, lab testing review, Geo Studio, AutoCAD.
Competencies Required
- Engineering judgment, subsurface modeling, analytical rigor, field coordination.
Ancillary Details Of The Role s
- Assist with QA/QC of drilling, testing, and third-party investigations.
- Coordinate with structural and environmental engineers on multi-disciplinary projects.
Other Details
- Supports project categories involving soil-structure interaction, permitting, and risk mitigation.
