Travel RN - Home Health

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position in Pasco County, FL, requiring OASIS training, IV skills, and wound care experience.

Job Details

• Skilled home health setting serving Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance patients,

• Patient care includes cardiopulmonary assessments, wound care (basic, ABI compression, wound vac), Pleurx/Asept drain care, foley catheter care, staple/suture removal, glucometer and pro-time machine use, SQ/IM injections, lab draws, venipuncture, IV skills, and PICC line/midline care and dressing changes,

• Caseload of 6-8 home visits per day,

• Shift hours vary based on office needs:
Mon-Fri 8a-5p or 9a-6p, or Thurs-Mon / Fri-Tues rotations,

• Alternating weekend shifts required,

• Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on the needs of the Home Care office,

• Charting and documentation via Bay Care Forms, Bay Care Scheduling, and ACE Timesheet,

• Equipment provided includes a laptop, MiFi for internet access, and a portable printer,

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate,

Job Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required; private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted,

• OASIS training and hands-on experience required,

• Proficiency in IV therapy and wound care required,

• Experience with high-risk diagnoses including heart failure (HF), COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke,

• Experience with general medical diagnoses and post-op care,

• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits,

• COVID vaccination required, or exemption form on file,

• Flu shot required, or signed declination on file (mandatory mask wearing at all times if not vaccinated for flu),

• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing visits across a variety of patient populations in a home-based setting,

• Scrubs must be solid color,

• First-time travelers are not explicitly noted as accepted; skilled home health experience is a firm requirement
