The team you'll be part of
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
The Optical Products Division develops and productizes state-of-the-art fiber optic communications equipment, which is used worldwide by leading providers to move data at unprecedented speeds and with uncompromising reliability.
What you will learn and contribute to
Our development team focuses on all aspects of design, implementation, test, and deployment of field programmable gate array (FPGA) devices and circuits for high speed optical networking applications.
As part of our team of experienced professionals, you will:
- Design and implement feature requirements for large scale and state of the art FPGA designs.
- Work with board designers and software developers to bring up and troubleshoot complex systems.
- Debug pack and system-level issues.
- Provide follow-up on factory and field support for production and deployment phases.
Your skills and experience
You have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years Experience in FPGA or ASIC development, simulation, and verification methodologies.
- Understanding of FPGA timing closure, constraints, and floor planning.
- Understanding of VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with SystemC and the Universal Verification Methodology (UVM)
- Solid analog experience including working with high speed FPGA based SERDES.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently towards root cause analysis; good communication and collaboration skills.
