Overview
Northwood Technical College is seeking applications from qualified candidates to provide math tutoring and academic support part-time at the New Richmond Campus.

- A Lab Specialist is expected to learn and use new technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- A Lab Specialist must be able to work non-standard hours including evening and weekend hours and must be willing to teach in a variety of learning environments including face-to-face, web-conferencing, and hybrid classrooms.
- Other duties as assigned.
Degree & Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in the instructional subject area;
or - A bachelor's degree in any field plus one of the following:
- Five (5) years of teaching experience in the instructional subject area; or
- Wisconsin DPI certification in the instructional subject area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and with varying abilities.
- Ability to explain concepts using a variety of instructional strategies.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to contribute positively in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated personal accountability and reliability.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to motivate, encourage, and support others.
- Strong customer service skills with a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in the instructional subject area.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, or instructional experience in a related field.
FY27 Salary - Professional Tutor - $38.00 / hour
