- AnalyzeCADmodels,blueprints,andtechnicalspecificationstodetermineEDM machining approach with minimal supervision.
- Setup,program,andoperatesinkerEDMmachinestoachieve+/-.0001accuracywith minimal supervision.
- BegintodevelopandoptimizeEDMburnstrategies withEDMSinker
Specialist III. - Monitormachiningprocessesandadjusttomaintaintolerancesandsurfacefinish requirements.
- Moderateknowledgeoftooldesignandunderstandingoffitandfunctionofmold components.
- Work side by side with EDM Sinker Specialist III, collaborating with CNC, Toolmakers,and Polishingteamstoensurecomponentreadinessandaccuracy.
- WorksidebysidewithEDMSinker
Specialist III,collaboratingandcoordinatingwith Designers, Electrode Designer and management on edm and tooling approach. - ProvidefeedbackondesignformanufacturabilityandEDM feasibility.
- DiagnoseandresolveEDMmachiningissues,includingburninconsistencies,electrode wear, and dimensional deviations with minimal supervision.
- Performroutinemachinemaintenanceandensureequipmentisoperatingefficiently.
- Identifyandimplementprocessimprovementstoenhancecycletimeandquality with direction and collaboration from EDM Sinker Specialist III.
- Followallcompanyqualitystandards,safety policies,andrequiredprocedures.
- Maintainconfidentialitywithallproprietaryinformation.
- Performadditionalresponsibilitiesasassignedbythe Production Supervisor ,Tooling Supervisor or EDM Sinker Specialist III.
- Associateortechnicaldegreeinmachining,manufacturingtechnology,orrelated discipline OR a minimum of 3-5 years of sinker EDM experience.
- Superiorexpertisein sinker EDMsetup, programming,and operation.
- Experienceachievingtighttolerances.
- StrongunderstandingofEDMprinciples,electrodematerials,andburnstrategies.
- ProficiencyinblueprintreadingandGD&T.
- ExperiencewithCADsoftware(Creo,Edrawings,Solidworks) preferred.
- Strong problem-solvingcapabilityandmechanicalaptitude.
- Extremelyhigh attention to detail.
