Job Summary

Cemstone® is a family‑owned, ready‑mix concrete company with nearly 100 years of experience in the Upper Midwest. The role is for a Ready‑Mix Driver who delivers ready‑mixed concrete and related products to construction job sites.

Responsibilities
  • Pre‑trip inspection of the ready‑mix truck in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Fill the water tank before each delivery by attaching a rubber hose and ensuring all valves are closed.
  • Upon receiving a delivery ticket, drive or back the truck under the plant (depending on configuration) and charge the mixer to obtain concrete.
  • Safely drive the truck to the job site, arriving with the desired slump within customer or job specifications.
  • Maneuver the truck on often unstable ground conditions, observing safety procedures and customer equipment.
  • Add necessary ingredients such as fibers, chemical, foam admixtures, cement, or integral colors at the plant or on the job site.
  • Place and remove chutes as required, then wash them in the washout system or another appropriate location.
  • Complete all paperwork, collect payments if required, and wash the truck at the end of the shift.
  • Communicate with dispatch via two‑way radio and truck status signaling system.
  • Maintain professional relationships with company employees, suppliers, and customers, and resolve issues promptly to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Plant Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or

    B.
  • Must pass a Federal Department of Transportation drug screen and physical, and obtain a DOT Medical Card.
  • Ability to safely operate a truck and perform all tasks in accordance with company policy and state/federal laws.
