The KPMG Advisory practice is at the forefront of transformation, offering excellent opportunities for individuals to advance their careers and expertise with KPMG. In this ever-changing market environment, our professionals must be adaptable, thrive in a collaborative, team‑driven culture and have the flexibility to develop both professionally and personally.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a high‑volume pipeline of rapid IT due diligence projects for Private Equity clients, assessing platform and add‑on acquisitions; utilize AI‑powered tools to accelerate analysis, identify key technology risks, value‑creation levers, carve‑out complexities, and required investments, delivering concise, actionable reports for investment committees.
  • Develop and execute post‑close technology value‑creation and optimization roadmaps for portfolio companies; lead initiatives focused on platform modernization, cost take‑out, operating‑model redesign, and the implementation of data analytics and automation to accelerate the investment thesis and drive EBITDA improvement.
  • Direct IT integration and carve‑out initiatives from planning through execution; establish and manage governance frameworks for value‑creation programs, ensuring rigorous oversight of execution, tracking synergy realization, cost savings, and ROI on technology investments, and reporting progress to PE stakeholders and portfolio leadership.
  • Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies focused on technology‑driven value creation for the PE sector; act as a key thought leader on how to leverage technology, including AI/ML, to drive scalability and strategic advantage across portfolio companies.
  • Lead strategic discussions and presentations with key stakeholders, including PE deal teams, operating partners, and portfolio company executives, acting as a trusted advisor on technology strategy from diligence through exit.
  • Lead efforts to mentor and develop junior staff, fostering deep expertise in the fast‑paced PE deal lifecycle, technology value‑creation methodologies, and delivery excellence.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum eight years of recent experience in technology, with a strong preference for candidates who have held in‑house technology leadership roles (such as CIO, CTO, VP‑Engineering) within a PE‑backed company or a high‑growth tech firm; consulting experience focused on the PE sector is also valuable.
  • Master’s of Business Administration degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated success in leading high‑impact technology projects in areas such as IT due diligence, technology value‑creation, post‑merger integration, or IT architecture modernization. Proven ability to leverage AI‑powered tools and platforms to accelerate due diligence, identify opportunities, and enhance project delivery.
  • Proven track record operating in the fast‑paced, high‑stakes environment of Private Equity, leading technology engagements from pre‑deal diligence through post‑close value creation. Experience with portfolio companies in sectors such as Technology, Software, and other tech‑enabled industries is highly preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of modern enterprise IT ecosystems, including cloud platforms, business applications, infrastructure, and cybersecurity; familiarity with the security, data privacy, and considerations of implementing AI/ML solutions.
  • Experience developing and executing go‑to‑market strategies and driving business growth, specifically by building and nurturing relationships with PE operating partners and deal teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to serve client needs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship now or in the future. KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity.
