Data Security & DLP Analyst (AI Training)
About The Role
Data breaches don't happen in textbooks — they happen in misconfigured S3 buckets, overshared SaaS drives, and overlooked email policies. We're looking for data security professionals who understand how sensitive information actually gets exposed, detected, and mishandled in the real world.
At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build and train frontier AI models. In this role, your hands-on knowledge of DLP controls, data classification, and security operations will directly shape how AI systems reason about sensitive information risk — making them smarter, safer, and more effective.
- Organization:

- Classify data sensitivity levels, exposure paths, and policy violations
- Evaluate prevention, detection, and incident response strategies
- Generate, label, and validate data security cases used to train and benchmark AI systems
- Apply your practical expertise to help AI reason accurately about data risk
- 2+ years of experience in data security, compliance, or security operations
- Familiar with DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and privacy or regulatory concepts (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.)
- Strong practical understanding of how data risk plays out in real-world environments
- Able to work independently, manage your own time, and deliver quality work asynchronously
- Detail-oriented with clear written communication skills
- Experience with cloud security posture management (CSPM) or SaaS security tools
- Background in security consulting, incident response, or compliance auditing
- Familiarity with AI systems or data annotation workflows
- Work directly on cutting-edge AI projects with leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
- Your real-world security expertise drives meaningful impact on how AI handles sensitive data
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
