To support a major modernization initiative within the Department of Veterans Affairs, the remote Agile Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications, collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced Agile environment.
Key responsibilities:- Design and maintain enterprise applications for VA healthcare modernization initiatives
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Dev Sec Ops processes
- Develop scalable APIs and microservices while ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity and accessibility requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of software development experience in Agile environments
- Experience with modern programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks, version control systems like Git, and application integration technologies
- Understanding of secure coding standards and federal cybersecurity requirements
