Position Highlights:

• Provide high-level leadership and operational oversight
• Promote community-oriented policing strategies
• Support staff development and departmental excellence
• Collaborate with regional partners and city leadership
• Uphold transparency, professionalism, and integrity

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, Public Admin, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 10+ years of law enforcement experience, with 3+ years at the command level
• Florida Law Enforcement Certification (or obtain within 120 days)
• Graduate of the FBI National Academy or equivalent preferred
• Must be tobacco-free for at least 6 months prior to application and remain tobacco-free during employment and participate in a mandatory annual physical fitness assessment
