Position: Mail Room Student Worker (2026-2027)

Job Description

Serve on a team of students who receive mail and packages at the MLC Mailroom located in the Library. We receive mail from the US Postal Service as well as packages from UPS, Fed Ex, etc. Mailroom workers also sort themail, deliver faculty and staff mail at various office locations and make student mail/packages available in the LSC Mailroom. Workers should be ready to spend time staffing both of our mailrooms.

Mailroom hours are scheduled during school days M-F and short shifts are also scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays. Students who on some days have 3rd-4th periods free (9:30 – 11:00 am) are preferred.

Employment dates

August 24, 2026 – May 21, 2027

Working hours and days

Flexible, may receive 8 hours per week

Regular or Occasional

Regular ~ Student Life policies state: student employees may only have one regular job and may not work more than 19 hours per week.

Minimum age for employment

Individual must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Salary

Tier 2 — $12.41 per hour

Benefits

Student workers are not benefit-eligible, but receive campus and community benefits through their status as students.
