Overview

As a Superintendent with Ledcor Technical Services, you will lead daily field operations, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will execute project plans and schedules, uphold site safety and quality control, and manage the work of field staff, contractors, and tradespeople, playing a central role in keeping projects running smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codes
  • Lead the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversee incident investigations
  • Review and update construction schedules, address delays, and contribute to project scheduling
  • Estimate activity durations and materials for complex projects
  • Maintain working knowledge of reporting and tracking the financial aspects of the project
  • Participate in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations
  • Set priorities and allocate resources for the entire field team
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project staff and Superintendents
Qualifications
  • One to three years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent
  • Experience in aerial and underground fiber instillation methods is a plus (Plow and Horizontal Directional Drill, HDD)
  • Post-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline is an asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practices
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractors
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issues
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
Working Conditions
  • Site-based position
  • Travel required throughout multiple states
  • 50-70% travel
