Job Summary

- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents, teachers, and other support staff.
- Provide direct instruction to students using evidence-based teaching strategies and differentiated instruction techniques.
- Assess students' strengths and challenges, use data to inform instructional decisions, and modify teaching approaches as needed.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued, respected, and supported.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other specialists to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to student learning and development.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and solicit feedback.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education and enhance your skills as an educator

- Bachelor's degree in special education.
- Licensure in ABS is preferred; other areas will be considered.
- Valid teaching license/certification in special education.
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, and specific learning disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, administrators and external stakeholders.
Compensation Package - .51 FTE position offers a salary range of $26,622.51 - $44,880.51, based on education and experience. Additionally, a proportional benefits package is available that includes health insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, dental insurance, vision insurance, and 403b retirement plan.
