Activities Director – New Ulm Public Schools
New Ulm Public Schools is seeking a highly energized and dedicated person for the position of 5-12 Activities Director. This person will work to preserve current programs and enhance and grow other co‑curricular programs for our students and schools. The AD will work closely with coaches, advisors, boosters and the administration to meet the district goals and mission.
ResponsibilitiesOrganize and administer all 5-12 co‑curricular programs.
Provide leadership in selection, assignment, development and evaluation of athletic coaches, activity advisors and staff.
Develop and maintain positive school and community relations through several means of communications and visibility at community events.
Responsible for the organization and scheduling of all school district activity events.
Interpret MSHSL rules and school district policy to govern all activities and ensure parents, athletes and staff are aware of these.
Develop, recommend and administer the activities department budget.
Responsible for the requisition of supplies, equipment and uniforms for all co‑curricular programs.
Responsible for coordinating officials and judges for all programs.
Supervise and coordinate events.
Perform administrative tasks that support the district.
QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field.
Minimum of five years of successful coaching/advising experience in multiple programs.
Experience with youth programs.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills and team building skills.
Prior Activity Director experience or activity programming experience desired.
Compensation and BenefitsStart Date:
July 12, 2026. Position is 225 days per year and offers a starting salary of $75,000 - $90,000, based on experience. A benefits package includes health insurance, life insurance, long‑term disability, dental insurance, vision insurance, and a 403(b) retirement plan.
