Job Summary
Join our team to provide quality support for special education students in a Minnesota School system supporting K-12 students. The Part‑Time DAPE Teacher will provide specialized physical education instruction to students with disabilities in small group settings. This position focuses on implementing IEP goals and objectives. The position will start August 24th and will run until December 22nd.
Schedule- Part‑Time opportunity
- Monday – Friday (daily for 2 hours)
- Service Level 4 special education population
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minnesota teaching license in Adapted Physical Education (or eligible for licensure)
- 1+ year teaching experience (preferred)
- Conduct small group and individualized instruction in adapted physical education, utilizing differentiated teaching strategies.
- Teach knowledge and skills in physical fitness, health education, and individual or team sports, using state standards.
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate activities that address motor, cognitive, and social‑emotional needs.
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and objectives using curriculum‑based measurement and observation data.
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to track motor skill development and physical fitness.
