School Readiness Preschool Paraprofessional - Eagles 5
Under the direction of the Director of Early Childhood and Family Programs and the guidance of the School Readiness Teacher, the School Readiness Preschool Paraprofessional assists licensed staff in supporting the academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth of preschool-aged children. Responsibilities include providing individual, small-group, and classroom support; supervising and assisting students during daily routines and activities such as lunch, outdoor play, rest time, transitions, and other classroom experiences;
assisting with classroom activities and routines; and helping maintain a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. This position requires confidentiality, strong communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to meet the physical demands of working with young children, including occasional heavy lifting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred
- Ability to follow and carry out classroom teacher instructions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a classroom team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
Days/
Hours:
Part-time position, Monday through Friday, with hours based on the current needs of the program, not to exceed 15 hours per week, plus attendance at training as directed and required by the district.
Start Date:
As agreed upon; 2026-27 School Year
Compensation Package:
Position Classification A-13 offers a starting wage of $18.50 - $21.16, based on education and experience. No benefits package is offered with this position.
