New Ulm Public Schools stands out as a premier center for educational excellence in the region. Our dedicated schools and staff offer rigorous and engaging academic programs designed to meet the needs of all students. The AD will work closely with coaches, advisors, boosters and the administration to meet the district goals and mission.

Essential tasks include organizing and administering all 5-12 co-curricular programs, providing leadership in selection, assignment, development and evaluation of athletic coaches, activity advisors and staff, developing and maintaining positive school and community relations, organizing and scheduling of all school district activity events, interpreting MSHSL rules and school district policy to govern all activities, developing, recommending and administering the activities department budget, requisitioning supplies, equipment and uniforms for all co-curricular programs, coordinating officials and judges for all programs, supervising and coordinating events, and performing administrative tasks that support the district.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree or higher in education or a related field, minimum of five years of successful H.S. coaching experience, minimum of two years of successful Activities Director experience, experience with youth programs, excellent organizational skills, excellent communication skills and team building skills.

Start date is November 2, 2026. Compensation package includes a starting salary of $80,000 - $95,000, based on experience, prorated for the  school year based on the start date. Additionally, a benefits package is available that includes health insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, dental insurance, vision insurance, and 403b retirement plan.
