As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Leading and contributing to Continuous Improvement initiatives that deliver measurable, step‑change improvements in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Operational Efficiency
- Monitoring productivity and cost performance, and initiating improvement projects as needed
- Providing daily production support within your assigned area
- Understanding key customer requirements and ensuring processes consistently meet capability expectations
- Applying technical expertise to support site and departmental needs, including special projects
- Communicating project progress, implementation status and cost impacts to plant management and supervision
- Enhancing your technical skillset by developing a strong network across the New Ulm plant and the broader 3M organization
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires at a minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Prior experience working within a manufacturing or process engineering environment
- Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies

New Ulm, MN
May include up to 5% domestic/international travel.
