Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
The New Ulm Public Utilities Commission is hiring a full‑time Boiler Operator in the Electric Production Department. Responsibilities include operation of power plant boilers, associated equipment, and assisting with maintenance and periodic overhaul of plant equipment.
Qualification requirements:
High school diploma, State of Minnesota Second Class Grade “B” Engineer’s License. Applicants must obtain a First Class B License within 36 months of hire. Position works shifts and offers a 3.5% shift differential.
Compensation: $33.18 – $43.60 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, LTD/STD insurance, flex spending plan, healthcare savings plan, PERA, deferred compensation plans, educational incentives, EAP, and generous leave plans.
