Position Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling production activities to support customer demand, improve operational efficiency, and ensure material availability. This role works closely with planning, engineering, operations, and suppliers to manage production flow, optimize capacity, and support inventory management initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
Additional Details- Pay range: $18 - $21/hour on W2 as per your experience
- Contract Length: 12 Months with the possibility of extension
- Plan and schedule production work centers to meet customer requirements and production goals
- Monitor work center output and support operational efficiency improvements
- Procure materials and communicate forecasted requirements with suppliers
- Collaborate with planning, engineering, and operations teams, including participation in tier meetings/processes
- Partner with internal teams to understand customer forecasts and production needs
- Manage and optimize production planning parameters
- Identify, resolve, and upscale production capacity constraints
- Monitor and manage non‑working or excess inventory
- Maintain accurate production and planning data within ERP/MRP systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional manufacturing environment
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or manufacturing operations preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
