Job Summary
Allina Health Cancer Institute (AHCI) – New Ulm, Minnesota. Join a mission‑driven, patient‑centered oncology program delivering high‑quality cancer care in a community‑based setting. Provide full‑spectrum oncology and hematology care, building long‑term relationships with patients and families.
Key Position Details- Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shift, 40 hours per week.
- No call, no weekends.
- Outpatient‑based at New Ulm Medical Center.
- Provide care for patients with solid tumors and hematologic conditions, across active treatment, infusion, survivorship, and follow‑up.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
Provides comprehensive patient care, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment as part of a physician/nurse team. Works independently or in a team. Acts as educator, case manager, consultant. Promotes communication within the team and coordinates with primary care and outside agencies.
Responsibilities- Perform clinical assessments and determine diagnosis and treatment.
- Order and interpret diagnostics with attending physician.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, therapy, and medical equipment.
- Conduct patient education for chronic illness or wellness care.
- Refer for specialty care when appropriate.
- Consult with physicians on unclear cases or scope issues.
- Participate in health‑care team communication and act as resource.
- Collaborate with primary care for program development and liaise with outside agencies.
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Minimum 1 year of NP/PA experience.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in MN.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in MN, and specialty certification (ANCC or NCCPA).
- BLS required within 180 days.
- Drug Enforcement Administration certification required upon hire.
- Minimum 2 years of oncology experience.
- Oncology specialty certification preferred.
Medium work. Lifting up to 32 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently.
Pay Range$135,096 to $164,216 per year (full‑time FTE base).
