* OP Infusion Oncology Clinic M-F 8‑4:30
* Credentialing timeframe 90‑120 days; start needed September 14 or early October.
* Prefer onsite coverage with one provider; telehealth discussions possible.
* 6‑month contract with option to extend; FTE highly preferred; split coverage possible with two locum providers.
* Patients per day: 13‑20
* Support staff: LPN and RN; APP support added soon.
* Scope of practice:
No radiation. Clinic includes infusion, imaging (Nuc Med, PET, CT, MRI, ultrasound), lab (in‑house blood draws), palliative care telehealth.
* Charting: 24‑hour completion expected.
* Interviews conducted by President – New Ulm Medical Director, Clinic Director.
Flight: Economy airfare only; first & business class not reimbursed. Up to 2 roundtrip flights per month; over $1,000 requires prior approval.
Lodging: Not to exceed $200/night for hotels (incl. taxes & parking); up to $4,500/month total for Airbnb, etc. with receipts.
Rental car & gas: Standard/Economy reimbursable (max $100/day). SUV only in winter months. Optional coverage not reimbursed. Gas for travel to/from work & airport reimbursed if prior fill.
Other expenses: Local mileage to facility excluded. Hotel parking, baggage fees (standard), airport parking (economy) reimbursed; gifts, golf clubs, snowboards, black car services not.
- Community‑based oncology practice with access to a larger integrated cancer network across metro and regional sites.
- Opportunity to practice full‑spectrum medical oncology and hematology in a setting valuing continuity of care and relationships.
- Multidisciplinary care team onsite and via telehealth: oncology nurse navigator, clinic RNs and LPNs, infusion nursing team, oncology research nurse, radiology department, PETs (including PSMA), MRI, CT; laboratory dept onsite.
- Dedicated oncology social worker, dietitian, mental health support, financial navigator, oncology provider coordinator, cancer rehabilitation, survivorship services, palliative care and genetic counseling telehealth support.
- Oncology/infusion department nurse manager; centralized prior authorization support by Allina.
- Broad outpatient oncology and hematology population.
- Solid tumor cancers.
- Hematologic conditions requiring active management.
- Patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, oncology supportive therapies.
- Access to clinical trials through MMCORC and NCI‑supported research programs when eligible; AHCI New Ulm has a dedicated research nurse.
- Manage patient care across full continuum: new patient consults & diagnosis, treatment planning & chemotherapy oversight, ongoing disease management and follow‑up.
- Provide care in a connected clinic infusion model.
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, radiation oncology partners (primarily Andreas Cancer Center in Mankato), primary care and specialty providers.
- Morning
:
Review labs, imaging, patient status; new consults and follow‑up visits in oncology clinic for active treatment patients. - Afternoon
:
Ongoing clinic visits (active treatment, surveillance, follow‑ups); coordinate with infusion team to approve treatments, address lab abnormalities, manage urgent patient needs.
- Outpatient‑focused practice with strong nursing and operational support.
- Clinic dept attached to infusion dept.
- Dedicated clinic staff: RN oncology nurse navigator, clinic RNs, LPNs/CMAs, oncology provider coordinator; 5 clinic exam rooms.
- Infusion center: open infusion chairs and private treatment rooms (9 chairs, 2 private infusion tx rooms, 2 fast‑track triage rooms).
- Infusion team supports high‑acuity oncology treatment; safe administration and monitoring of therapies.
- Oncology nurse navigation: coordination of care, patient education and support.
- Integrated support services: financial counseling, behavioral health and survivorship care, rehabilitation services.
- Access: clinical trials, advanced cancer therapies, telehealth specialty care.
- Serve as key leader and primary oncology provider in the New Ulm community.
- Shape care delivery workflows and patient experience.
- Build longitudinal relationships with patients and families.
- Practice high‑quality oncology in a community setting with system‑level support.
Day 5x8‑Hour (08:00 – 04:30).
