Key Position Details- Need to be able to pick up two shifts per month
- Standard shift hours Sunday evening, Monday‑Thursday daytime; additional shifts will likely be available on weekends during surge season and for vacation coverage
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments to determine diagnosis and treatment
- Order and interpret medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician
- Prescribe medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment
- Provide patient education and consult with physician teammates when the patient’s need is outside of scope
- Promote communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff and act as a resource to members of the team
- Act as liaison with outside agencies as needed
- Completion of an accredited physician assistant program OR nurse practitioner program
- ED/Urgent Care experience required to be casual
- New graduates may be considered
- Experience in family practice, internal medicine, urgent or emergency care
- Certification as Physician Assistant – NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire OR Certified Nurse Practitioner – ANCC certification within specialty required upon hire
- BLS Tier 1 – Basic Life Support – Multisource required within 180 days
- Drug Enforcement Administration certification required upon hire
- Medium work:
Lifting weight up to 32 lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy) and up to 25 lbs frequently
Pay Range: $141,731 to $155,896 per year
The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full‑time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
