Job Summary:
As an advanced practice provider in the New Ulm Emergency Department, you will work alongside a team of ED physicians and have access to support from a wide variety of specialties. You'll have 24/7 access to system service lines (mental health, cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, etc.). The New Ulm ED sees 9.5k visits annually and has 11 beds, and is a level IV trauma center, stroke-ready.
You will also have support from an experienced team of nurses and an employed network of EMS.
- Complete comprehensive patient assessments to determine diagnosis and treatment
- Order and interpret medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
- Provide patient education and consult with physician teammates when the patient's need is outside of scope
- Promote communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff and act as a resource to members of the team
- Act as liaison with outside agencies as needed
- Completion of an accredited physician assistant program OR nurse practitioner program
- Need ED/Urgent Care experience required to be casual
- New Graduates may be considered
- Experience in family practice, internal medicine, urgent or emergency care
- Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire OR Certified Nurse Practitioner
- American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) certification within specialty required upon hire - BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support
- Multisource required within 180 Days - Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire
- Medium Work*:
Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (

Pay Range: $141,731 to $155,896 per year
The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
