Truck Driver CDL A

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver at the New Ulm, MN location. The position offers weekly pay ($1116 – $1562 per week) and a career with excellent benefits.

Key compensation details:

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $31.00 for PM Shift
• Hours Per Week: 36‑48 hours (depending on schedule)
• Endorsement:
  Tanker endorsement within 30‑60 days of hire
• Backing Experience Required
• $3000 loyalty bonus—$1500 after 6 months, $1500 after 1 year
• Schedule:
  
  4 days one week, 3 days the next week
• Start time: 6 pm – 6 am

Route and daily work:

• Local home daily – yard
• No freight, no‑touch yard work
• Ryder reimburses costs and provides training for endorsements

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws, regulations, agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading when required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

Some positions may require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
