Position:
Japanese Bilingual Accounting Assistant
Location:
New York, NY (Midtown) - Onsite
Work hour: 9:30am - 6:00 pm (M-F)

Non-Exempt, full-time, Direct-Hire
Under the supervision of the Accounting
Manager, the Accounting
Assistant will be responsible for supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and generalaccountingfunctions. The ideal candidate should possess advanced conversational Japanese language skills and at least one year of clerical experience. Prioraccountingexperience and knowledge are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Perform dailyaccountingtasks, including accounts payable and receivable, and expense reimbursement.
Review invoices and enter relevant information into theaccountingsoftware.
Monitor cash flow and account balances, and initiate account transfers as necessary.
Process journal entries and perform bank reconciliations.
Assist the Accounting
Manager with monthly closing and auditing activities.
Maintainaccounting-related documents and reports.
Perform office administrative duties, such as answering phone calls and filing documents.
Qualifications:
Japanese Bilingual:
Advanced conversational level proficiency in Japanese is required.
Minimum of one year of administrative and/oraccountingexperience required.
Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) required.
Strongly preferred:
Knowledge of and experience in accounting.
Experience with Quick Books is a plus.
