Position: Project Accountant / Billing Specialist
Description

Our growing New York City-based firm is seeking an experienced Project Accountant / Billing Specialist to help drive financial operations and support our dynamic client work. If you have 3+ years of accounting/finance experience and a strong background in the architecture, engineering, or design industry, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

+ Manage project billing cycles, including invoice preparation, review, and processing

+ Monitor and track project budgets, expenditures, and client payments

+ Coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate project accounting and reporting

+ Maintain timely and accurate financial records related to projects and contracts

+ Assist with accounts receivable, collections, and client communication

+ Support month-end close and financial reporting, focusing on project profitability

+ Identify process improvements to optimize billing and project accounting function

Requirements

+ 3+ years of accounting, billing, or project finance experience

+ Prior experience in the architecture, engineering, or design industry

+ Proficient with industry billing software and Microsoft Excel

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
