Junior Accountant

Description We are looking for a meticulous entry-level Accountant to join our team in New York, New York. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for someone eager to expand their accounting skills while contributing to a dynamic work environment. The role will involve a variety of essential accounting tasks, offering an excellent opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.

- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations to maintain account accuracy.

- Process accounts payable invoices efficiently and accurately.

- Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including payment tracking and reconciliation.

- Support monthly account reconciliations to verify financial data consistency.

- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in accounting records.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of financial reports.

- Utilize Excel to analyze and organize financial data effectively.

- Work with accounting software to manage transactions and records seamlessly. Requirements - At least 1 year of accounting experience in a setting that requires attention to detail.

- Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Strong knowledge of bank and account reconciliations.

- Familiarity with general accounting entries and practices.

- Advanced Excel skills for managing and analyzing financial data.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Experience with accounting software systems is preferred.
