Controller Position at Warp

We're hiring our first Controller to own the books and financial operations of a company that moves real money every day. You'll run accounting, close, tax, and the controls a payroll and money-movement business depends on. Hands-on IC role reporting to the Head of Finance.

What You'll Do

• Own the monthly close and keep the books clean and audit-ready.
• Run accounting operations: AP, AR, billing reconciliation, and revenue recognition as we migrate billing to ACH.
• Own corporate tax and compliance filings, working with our outside tax partners.
• Reconcile money movement. We process tens of millions in monthly volume across multiple rails, soon including our own. The numbers tie out, every time.
• Build financial controls and processes that scale from 30 to 70+ people without adding chaos.
• Partner with the Head of Finance on reporting and with Ops on tax compliance.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in accounting and controllership, ideally including a high-growth startup.
• CPA or equivalent rigor. You care about getting the details exactly right.
• Hands-on with close, reconciliation, and accounting systems.
• Comfortable in a company where money movement is core to the product, not a side function.
• High ownership and autonomy. You see a broken process and fix it.

Nice to Have:

• Payroll, payments, or fintech background.
• You've helped a company prep for its first formal audit.
