Sr. Accountant

Senior Accountant

Global/multinational organization is looking to hire a Senior Accountant to their team. This position is located in midtown Manhattan and they are in the office four days a week.

The focus of the position is post-close accounting activities and financial reporting across multiple entities outside the US.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee account analysis after each close cycle, ensuring balance sheet and income statement reconciliations are complete, accurate, and backed by appropriate support.

• Investigate outstanding variances and reconciling differences, coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders, and document conclusions clearly.

• Prepare and record manual and adjustment entries while maintaining compliance with established accounting policies and internal controls.

• Review financial activity for accuracy and consistency, identifying issues that may affect reporting quality across entities.

• Assist with statutory reporting preparation and support adjustments needed to align local reporting with broader organizational requirements.

• Partner with internal finance teams, tax contacts, and external advisors to address accounting matters and maintain reliable financial data.

• Contribute to internal and external audit activities by assembling schedules, responding to requests, and supporting timely completion of audit procedures.

• Participate in accounting projects and finance process enhancements, including additional assignments that strengthen reporting and operational effectiveness.
