Staff Accountant

We are looking for a staff accountant to join a luxury residential construction and construction management firm in New York, New York. This onsite contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys high-volume transactional accounting work and can help bring structure and accuracy to invoice processing. The person in this role will support the accounting team by handling data entry, reviewing documentation, and keeping records current in Sage Intacct.

Responsibilities:

• Process a large volume of vendor invoices in Sage Intacct with speed and accuracy.
• Support the accounting team in reducing a backlog of outstanding invoice entries and related records.
• Examine invoices for completeness, correct coding, and supporting details before entry.
• Perform day-to-day accounts payable and general accounting data entry tasks as assigned.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records to ensure timely invoice tracking and reporting.
• Assist with accounting support work connected to post-migration cleanup and system-related data updates.
• Provide additional administrative accounting assistance to help the team meet daily processing needs.
