Job Description
Position: Bookkeeper, Operations Administrator
Location: NYC 11101
Compensation: $75-85K DOE + generous bonus and benefit package
RemX is proud to represent our prestigious and growing client in Long Island City, NY in their search for a smart and industrious Bookkeeper and Operations Support Specialist to join their growing team. In this role, you will provide vital support to help streamline the company’s financial and operational processes. If you have a minimum of five (5) years of bookkeeping experience with an eye for detail and a team-focused attitude, you could be an ideal match for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounts receivable functions including invoicing, collections, payment follow-up, account reconciliation and backup banking support
- Perform accounts payable data entry and maintain accurate financial, customer, production and billing records
- Enter, update and reconcile production, order, and inventory information including creating and maintaining production item records
- Research and resolve billing, payment and production documentation discrepancies in a timely manner
- Provide professional customer service by handling incoming calls and responding to accounts, billing and order-related inquiries
- Support daily office operations through recordkeeping, administrative tasks, and cross-functional coverage during absences or peak workloads
- Collaborate with accounting, sales, customer service, and production teams to ensure operational accuracy and efficiency
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, to support reporting, communication, and administrative functions
Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of bookkeeping experience with manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong data entry accuracy, problem-solving abilities, and customer service skills
- Strong experience with billing, collections, bookkeeping and accounting processes
- Possess excellent technological, communication and organizational skills
- Be a self-starter who works effectively with little to no supervision
- Proficiency with Quick Books (online & desktop), MS Excel and ERP accounting software
- Working knowledge of Net Suite or similar ERP systems strongly preferred
