Job Summary
The Asset Management Intern will support the management of a portfolio of wind and solar assets across the United States and Canada. This role provides hands-on experience in renewable energy operations, financial analysis, and contract administration. The intern will assist with data analysis, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to help ensure assets operate efficiently and profitably.
Interns will have access to mentorship from experienced asset managers, networking opportunities across the organization, and exposure to industry best practices. This internship is designed to provide a strong foundation for future roles in renewable energy and asset management.
Responsibilities
* Revenue Optimization:
Coordinate with settlements and external counter parties for accurate revenue, collaborate on adhoc analysis supporting revenue optimization initiatives and investment decisions.
* Reporting & Portfolio Analysis:
Assist in preparing the various management and investor reports for internal and external stakeholders.
* Contract Management:
Assist in managing contractual obligations under the key agreements (e.g., power purchase agreements, O&M service agreements, leases). Support the evaluation and structuring commercial agreements to maximize financial outcomes.
* Collaborate on ad hoc analysis supporting revenue optimization and investment Data Analysis:
Collaborate with Performance and Trading team, utilize data to analyze asset performance, identify trends and areas for improvement. Provide strategic recommendations based on data insights to enhance operational efficiency and commercial profitability.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
Engage with internal teams and external partners to communicate performance updates, address operational challenges, and identify strategic opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
* Asset Manager Intern: currently pursuing an MBA with bachelor's degree in engineering.
* Asset Management Analyst Intern: currently pursuing a dual bachelor's degree in engineering and finance.
* Strong interest in the renewable energy sector.
* Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel; familiarity with big data tools and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, SQL, Python) is a plus.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Compensation: $25 per hour / $30 per hour
