Compliance Specialist
Location: New York, NY
Pay Rate: $50/hour

Summary
Supports the organization's commitment to integrity and accountability by ensuring adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. This role is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on compliance activities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate internal processes and controls to identify potential compliance risks and areas for improvement
• Conduct audits and document findings through clear, detailed reports
• Track and interpret regulatory changes, assisting in the development and revision of policies and procedures
• Support internal investigations into compliance concerns and recommend appropriate corrective actions
• Partner with cross-functional teams to promote and maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs for staff

Qualifications & Skills

• Working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA)
• Experience with risk assessments, internal audits, and compliance monitoring
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance management systems
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
