Housekeeper, Child Care​/Nanny

Private Family in Lower Manhattan, New York City seeking a Full Time Live In/Out Housekeeper. The housekeeper will live in during the days worked and then go home on days off. The family is in NYC during the months of September-May and then in the Hamptons for the Summer months.

Salary: $30- $37 per hour / $62,400-$76,000 per year, depending on experience

About the Family
A respectful and welcoming private family located in New York, NY (Lower Manhattan) is looking to hire an experienced and professional Full Time Housekeeper to join their household. They value someone who is proactive, kind to others, and someone who will be a long-term fit.

• Children:
  Three children, ages 7 months, 3.5 and 4.5 years old- housekeeper must be kid friendly
• Pets:
  One 12lb hypoallergenic dog
• Household Staff:
  Full time Housekeeper transitioning to a 2nd nanny position within the home - searching for a Full Time Live Out Nanny

Responsibilities

• Full daily/weekly cleaning of the condo (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing surfaces)
• Kitchen maintenance, including cleaning appliances, countertops, and organizing cabinets as needed
• Bathroom cleaning and sanitizing
• Laundry care, including washing, folding, ironing, and proper care of delicate garments
• Changing bed linens and making beds
• Organizing closets, cabinets, and living areas
• Taking out trash and recycling
• Monitoring household supplies and notifying when restocking is needed
• Receiving packages or allowing access for vendors when required
• Must be able to live in the Hamptons with the family in the Summer. A passport will be needed to travel with the family.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail oriented, and is a team player. They should have a positive attitude, and take pride in maintaining a structured, clean, and peaceful environment. A flexible mindset, strong communication skills, and a calm demeanor are essential. This family is seeking someone who is looking for long-term placement and will become a valued part of their household.

This person must enjoy children and be able to jump in if needed (drive girls to an activity or watch the baby monitor, etc) The family will have 2 nannies and 2 parents who are hands on.
Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar role in a private household
• Excellent references
• Legal to work in the United States
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Comfortable with pets- 1 dog
• Willing to travel
• It would be a bonus if this person enjoys cooking
• Must go home on days off
