Position Overview
The Construction Manager is responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of all Civil Works activities on assigned projects. This includes financial control through scheduling (time management), Service Provider (SP/ASP) oversight, quality management, and strict compliance with company, customer, federal, and local standards.
The CM plays a leadership role in driving performance, resolving complex issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires advanced technical expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to guide and lead cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities Project & Financial ControlManage and control civil works activities according to approved site design and budget.
Assess and control project-related charges.
Drive schedule adherence and troubleshoot delays.
Write claims and manage ordering and return of materials.
Provide accurate status updates and regular progress reports to Project Management.
Ensure only customer-approved materials are installed.
Enforce agreed Civil Works guidelines and project schedules.
Ensure compliance with:
Company's standards and specifications
Customer specifications
Federal and local regulations
Safety and construction procedures
Monitor workmanship quality to meet contract and customer expectations.
Reject incorrect material deliveries and report performance or quality issues.
Interpret and ensure compliance with civil design plans.
Conduct site pre-inspections and coordinate post-construction audits.
Perform site verification and visual quality inspections.
Maintain awareness and provide supervision in high-risk operational environments.
Coordinate all site activities across disciplines to ensure alignment with project goals.
Attend coordination and progress meetings.
Provide technical assistance to Service Providers and suppliers.
Supervise and monitor all Civil Works interfaces.
Maintain safe working environments on all sites.
Conduct safety inspections and ensure tools and equipment are in proper working condition.
Enforce company's, federal, local, and customer safety standards.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of worker and workplace safety.
Maintain and update construction-specific documentation within Site Handler, including:
Statement of Work (SOW) and preconstruction documents (NTP, RFDS, safety guidance, QA standards)
NTP receipt verification
RFDS submission review and change management
Civil acceptance documentation (submission, review, approval)
Daily Civil progress PFA verification
Close-out document review and approval
Lead teams with a focus on quality, accountability, and results.
Investigate and resolve complex problems through substantial analysis.
Improve and enhance existing procedures, techniques, and methods.
Guide and mentor team members and stakeholders.

Proven experience managing large-scale project builds (500+ sites preferred)
