Now Hiring an Associate Development Manager for our client in NYC to play a pivotal role in transforming design concepts into market-ready collections. This position is perfect for individuals with a luxury evening or bridal wear background, showcasing a strong aptitude for high-end garment construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate closely with the Design team to meet brand standards for quality, fit, and aesthetics.
  • Manage development processes, including scheduling fittings, overseeing sample production, and ensuring product quality.
  • Coordinate with in-house sewers and local factories, strictly adhering to timelines and specifications.
  • Organize and oversee development fitting sessions.
  • Consult with the Design team on cost efficiency and highlight potential quality concerns during product development.
  • Confirm uniformity and accuracy of development packages and prototype samples.
  • Facilitate the transfer of technical packs to manufacturing partners, pattern makers, and the in-house atelier team.
  • Direct the daily activities of in-house sewers throughout the development process.
  • Inspect all muslins and market samples for precise adherence to design specifications.
  • Manage daily communications and resolve any issues that arise.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in product development within the luxury fashion sector.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Suite, with strong technical knowledge of garment construction.
  • Able to work in the office Monday to Friday, 10 AM - 6 PM; flexibility required during peak periods.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel), MAC, Adobe Suite a plus
  • Extensive technical knowledge of garment fit, finishings, and construction
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, and ensure delivery of results within tight deadlines
